Wash Park Rec Center

Washington Park Recreation Center is the busiest center of all the Denver Recreation Centers. The center offers numerous classes and programs for all ages, and participants can come and work out before or after work or school. Dress Code: Gym trunks, hemmed shorts or sweat pants must be worn with non-marking gym shoes. NO CUT OFFS, JEAN SHORTS OR SANDALS !!!. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please use the lockers that are available at Washington Park. Bring your own lock. Locks left on over night will be cut off.

Fitness

These drop-in classes include stretching, flexibility, cardiovascular workshop and cool down. A physical examination is advised for anyone 35 and over. A CURRENT MEMBERSHIP CARD must be presented at each class.

Early Bird Step- Mon. & Wed. 6:15 Ð 7:15 a.m.

High Impact Aerobics- Mon. & Wed. 6:05 Ð 7:05 p.m.

Step Aerobics- Tue. & Thurs. 6:05 Ð 7:05 p.m.

FEE: $2 per class/ resident

DIRECTIONS

  • Heading north on I-25: Exit northbound on Downing, east on Virginia, south on Franklin to Kentucky, enter park.
  • Heading south on I-25: Exit on Eastbound Alameda Avenue; follow “west” directions directly below.
  • Coming from the west: Eastbound Alameda Avenue, past Downing to Franklin (right lane must exit at Franklin); south to Kentucky, enter park.
  • Coming from the east: Colorado Blvd to Exposition (past University), west to Franklin, south to Kentucky, enter park.
